• Oversee station efforts to continuously deliver timely and quality responses in the areas of fire, medical, and public safety administration.
• Conduct search and rescue operations, quickly analyze medical emergencies, and administer first aid to injured persons.
• Conduct fire prevention and suppression operations.
• Respond to fire and emergency alarms, and evaluate emergencies to direct company operations.
• Provide clear and decisive leadership by rapidly assessing and responding to changing field conditions.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the department.

During this time, I have served in the role of firefighter, captain, and most currently, assistant chief.

• Responding to alarms, fires, EMS, and other emergencies for a diverse community, while operating emergency apparatuses and various department vehicles.
• Operating all types of fire suppression, medical emergency, and other emergency equipment at the scene of an emergency.
• Removing persons from burning structures and other dangerous situations.
• Participating in fire safety education and 'Community Risk Reduction' (CRR) outreach initiatives.
• Participating in hazmat and pre-fire planning, and performing hazardous materials mitigation activities.
• Completing general forms, and preparing regular reports.
