Age 15 I was welding for Electric Motor Service on weekends, while part time at Buddy's Paint and Body Parts and Ace Hardware. By age 17 I was winding electric motors, turning face plates and welding for Chattanooga Electric Services. I became shop foreman in three months. A1 machine gave work in spare time in Redbank, Tn. At 18 my father had me move back to Green Cove Springs, FL to run outside sales for Clay Pump and Armature. At 21 I opened a subsidiary business that catered to Clay Pump. Ran the work crews on many jobs in the industrial repair, dairies, water plants, paper mills along with the sales of the products installed. At 32 sold all but the residential pump repair business who Jamie Deel still runs and operates. Moved to Adamsville, Tn and opened Mike's Welding Shop. Provided service to residential, city, and the state doing welding, restoration, and new steel project constructions. At 45 I purchased Jot Em Down Market and gas station that was eventually turned into a very profitable important restaurant bar and grill in Adamsville, TN area. Recently moved back to Green Cove Springs, FL to be close to my elderly mother.
