•Locate and source talent for openings. Attend career fairs, make cold calls, visit local college campuses or universities.
•Review current hiring practices to ensure that we are providing a good experience to each candidate, regardless of where they fall in the hiring spectrum.
•Screen, evaluate and qualify candidates, including conducting in-depth candidate interviews to develop a deep understanding of candidate qualifications and competencies.
•Ensure accurate process of all recruitment related HR transactions including onboarding of new hires, terminations, job and personal data changes, reference checks, background checks and employee verifications. Oversee the relationships with current outside recruiting firms ensuring that they are meeting the needs of the Credit Union.
•Coordinate 3-day new hire orientation
•Coordinates and communicates various employee related events throughout the year such as open enrollment, benefits fair, health fair, compliance training, etc. via the company intranet.
•Helps to develop, refine, and improve existing processes to effect continuous improvement.
•Ensures compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification; annually audits I-9 forms
•Provides specialized HR expertise and support in the areas of payroll, recruiting, time and attendance, benefits, leave requests (FMLA/PFL/Disability & Worker’s Compensation), company policies and programs, as well as HR administration activities including data entry, intranet and knowledge base updates and maintenance of personnel/medical files.
•Serves as a main point of contact for HR related questions, as well as acts as a liaison between Human Resources and other departments within the Credit Union.
•Processes all HR transactions including onboarding of new hires, terminations, job and personal data changes, employee verifications, life event changes, leave requests, timekeeping, and other routine functional HR work.
•Coordinates and communicates various employee related events throughout the year such as open enrollment, benefits fair, health fair, compliance training, etc.
•Helps to develop, refine, and improve existing processes to effect continuous improvement. Undertakes and manages projects and new initiatives as directed by the HR/Payroll & Benefits Manager to support the Credit Union Mission and HR vision.
