• Follow general instructions, drawings, standard practices, recognized methods, and special customer design requirements to perform various custom fittings and upholstery operations.

• Plan a sequence of operations to measure, layout, and cut a variety of materials in order to upholster panels, seats, and other details, assemblies, and installation.

•Develop flat pattern templates to outline parts being processed.

•Overlay fabric being used and trace outline, examine and evaluate cabin interiors; prepare evaluation reports.

•Perform hand and/or machine sewing operations and use hand and/or power tools, machines, ect., associated with upholstery operations to fabricate and complete upholstered assemblies.

•Install fastening devices, sound proofing, rugs, seats, and other interior items in aircraft.

•As required, perform alterations on interiors such as cutting ceiling panels to accommodate lighting fixtures, speakers, ect., and adapt interior furnishings for custom design requirements.

•Installation of accessories may involve removal and reinstallation of paneling and air duct after minor modification.

•Perform rework operations and check all work to assure that quality standards are maintained. And maintain clean work area.

•Work with and direct one or two lower grade upholsterers on custom fitting and upholstery operations and problem situations.

•Refer only unusual problems to working leader or supervisor.

Senior Servo Mechanic

Plan and perform a wide variety of intricate and unusual operations to assemble, disassemble, and repair complex hydraulic control units.

Work from complicated drawings, specifications and general methods to assemble, disassemble, and repair all types of servo and related hydraulic control units. Check assemblies and component parts to specifications. Use all desired and available testing equipment including vacuum meters, servo test panels, hydraulic testers, galvanometers, dial indicators, micrometers, ect. Analyze test results and promptly resolve any cause of malfunction. Perform complex lay outs, and drill, tap, ream, hone, lap, wire, solder, time, safety wire, and perform all other required machining, or assembling operations. Work from inspection reports, test and disassemble faulty units and repair or replace defective or malfunctioning parts. Reassemble and test corrected units according to specifications. May assist and advise flight line mechanics in difficult servo or hydraulic control checkout and repair situations. Perform other related and difficult mechanical duties as required. Direct and instruct 1 or 2 lower grade mechanics pursuant to job assignments. Refer only very unusual, difficult or recurring problems to working leader or foreman.

Work directly with engineering and Field Service personnel to developing troubleshooting techniques, repair processes, product improvements, repair criteria withing defined tolerances and in accordance with logistics change proposals, work that is not currently covered under existing manuals, blue prints and/or other technical data. Perform ATP testing, calculations and troubleshooting of variety of repaired/overhauled hydraulic flight control assemblies to certify component compliance to specifications required to return them to a Ready for Installation (RFI) serviceable condition.

Follow all rules and regulations pertaining to environmental health and safety; contribute to the overall effectiveness of equipment by performing operator-required upkeep; segregate waste material and follow good housekeeping practices.
