I was nominated as a Social Studies Teacher finalist at MAS@Zelda Glazer because of my strong involvement both in and out of the classroom. I maintained a strong presence in many school activities throughout the year. I was also nominated because of my success in the classroom in terms of rigor and achievement.
I was awarded the Golden Apple Award at Miami Coral Park HS for similar reasons, with an emphasis on after-school activities.
