Shop supervisor role. Journeyman-level technician overseeing the tracking, planning and completion of various maintenance items as well as mentor and assist a small shop of electricians onboard a Coast Guard 225'. Role includes preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, and general labor on the asset. The labor and systems include maintaining Baldor AC motors, Wellin Lambie davits, Appleton cranes, Cat 3508 generators, CAT 3608TA Marine diesel engines, PLC troubleshooting, cable terminations, calibrating tank level indicators, troubleshooting and maintaining HVAC equipment, using a megohmeter and voltmeter as well as an amplitude of specialty tools. On top of maintenance I was also a Journeyman engineer and Engineer of the Watch, responsible for the readings, casualty response, and safe operation of the ships machinery plant and power distribution system.

Entry-Level technician role working on various Coast Guard assets such as the 65', 87', 110' 140', 175', 225', 270', and jet-driven pursuit boats. Onboard these assets the tasks were to conduct corrective maintenance, preventative maintenance, and troubleshoot/diagnose various issues within electrical circuits. The maintenance and troubleshooting ranged from small boat DC circuits, to power generation systems such as CAT 3508 generators, marine diesel engines, fire detection/alarm systems, emergency circuits, HVAC equipment, calibrating pressure and electrical sensors, using a magnitude of specialty tools and making electrical termination across various assets.
