  • Operating a variety of motorized firefighting equipment such as fire engine, airport fire and rescue vehicles, mobile water truck, wildland brush truck. With the knowledge of the following equipment I am able to respond to a variety of different emergency calls. To include hazardous materials, airport rescue emergencies, wildland incidents, structural and commercial fire emergencies. On medical calls I make a quick, but thorough assessments of patients and determine the best course of action per my local protocols. Also serve as a EMS evaluator for Pierce County. I have been trained to the hazmat technician level. Which allows me to respond and mitigate hazardous material incidents. Daily operations are equipment checks for inventory and their current operational status, training in the classroom and hands on to maintain proficient on skills.

As an instructor 1 I assist with the fire academy by leading lectures and practical hands on while on the training ground. As a peer support representative for our department I was responsible for the well being of the other member's of the department. This includes giving them the resources to deal with any problems they are having such as traumatic emergency calls, marriage issues, or life incidents that may be affecting their performance.   • Provide medical treatment and transport to the sick or injured citizens of King County. Responding as a second on scene for 911 calls to assist with local fire departments for medical emergencies. Transporting patients from hospitals back to their home or to another hospital for further treatment. Knowledge of the King County protocols allowed me to treat each patient with the highest level of care while being a customer for the company. Maintaining the inventory of the ambulance was critical to maintain the highest level of care. I would attend certain events such as races, MMA fights, and boxing matches as stand by medical personnel incase of an emergency was to arise. Operating the ambulance in a safe manner while in emergency mode when responding to an emergency or transporting to a hospital.
