Currently assigned to the High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto and performed correctional functions that included; Supervising the dining hall, outdoor recreation area, and inmate housing units. I verified all visitors carried proper identification and had no contraband before entering institution. I was assigned with conducting inmate counts and cell searches for contraband. I have responded to emergency situations and provided first aid.

Conducting witness, suspect, and victim interviews of inmates, in addition to building rapport with the inmates to ensure the safety and security within the jail.
Selected to be the Population Management Deputy while working at the Glen Helen Facility to assign jobs to sentenced inmates, and facilitated transfers of worker inmates to other jails within the county. Responsible for reviewing criminal history and clearing inmates for work in numerous positions within the San Bernardino County Jails.
Assigned as a Correctional Training Officer (CTO) to mentor, evaluate, and develop new deputies during their month long training period, ensuring compliance with departmental policies and operational standards. I assessed trainee performance through daily observation and detailed documentation, providing constructive feedback and corrective guidance to build confident, capable deputies even in high stress environments. I gave hands on training to new deputies to help build confidence in their day to day operations.
