My two previous jobs I worked at, I started at the bottom as a team member. Through hard-work, dedication, and communication I was able to elevate myself in the company in a short period of time. At Dollar General I order selected for a year, always gave one hundred percent effort no matter the day and that’s what separated me from the rest. My work ethic, drive, and attitude earned me a shot at learning the full case desk. After a few months of training I was running the show effectively and meeting company needs in a timely manner. After the desk I got the opportunity to be a trainer, which was a huge boost in my socializing skills. It also helped me build confidence because I knew how to effectively explain the job function in various ways so that new hires would understand no matter what. Finally getting the opportunity to travel train and transfer to a whole new area was a huge leap in my life. To be able to meet new people, and learn new personalities/ perspectives really helped me build a positive relationship with those around me.
