• Circulated for surgeries, prepared and positioned patients , ensure proper operating room set up, readiness and equipment availability.
• Practice aseptic technique and maintain sterile fields during surgery.

Fall 2020 Class

Comprehensive 18 Week OR training program consisting of didactic, skills labs and clinical, covering the role of RN Scrub and RN circulator.

• Provides direct quality care to patients who had major surgery; knee & hip replacements, cervical fusions, shoulder arthroplasty, lumbar spine surgeries and various types of fractures.
• Familiarity in managing pain with the use of opiates in different forms; oral and intravenous narcotics, narcotic drips and patient controlled analgesics.
• Manage patients who received spinal, general anesthesia, articular and peripheral never blocks.

• Providing instruction to Nursing students based on a course syllabus.
• Supervise the students during Community site visits and Clinical rotations.
• Conduct formal student performance evaluations.
