Hardworking delivery person enthusiastic about learning how to find the best times and markets to work. Pursues opportunities to learn new skills. Looking to gain experience and enter a career with growth and learning opportunities.
I am now looking to enter a more formal work environment and pursue a career where I can gain the experience needed to become more of an asset for a company or organization that needs someone who can handle customer service, executive or manager assistance or internal processes such as assisting with tasks necessary to complete projects and/or be a proficient teammate in completing the day to day work that would be required of my job description.
For most of my adult life, I have assisted my disabled mother in being a primary caregiver for my elderly grandmother. As a result, I was not able to commit to a formal work schedule and worked food delivery jobs to allow for the flexibility needed to assist with my grandmother. Now that she has passed away, I am looking to enter the workforce and pursue a career.
Being a caregiver for my grandmother actually allowed me to gain the experience necessary for handling telephone and in person conversations with insurance companies, medical providers, assisted living facilities to see that she was getting the proper care. This included handlinglogistical and financial aspects of what was needed to be done throughout the aging process. I learned a lot from my uncle who was not able to be here because he lives in Virginia. He assisted me with gaining the people skills and the communication skills necessary to facilitate transactions, treatments and placements for my grandmother. He told me those skills would be very helpful in the workplace.
