My job as of now:

As a machine upkeep my daily tasks include:

• Greasing, Oiling, checking air pressures and timing of the machine.
• Repairing any mechanical breakdown of the machine along with sometimes having to use a torch and weld something back into place.
• Using a computer daily to log everything that's been done throughout the day.

I started with this job in the packing room palletizing bottles on pallets then was awarded a bid for the Hot End as a Apprentice machine operator where I completed a 4,000 hour Apprenticeship.

Job consisted of:

• Pre planning jobs and reading blueprints.
• Removal & Installation of Aluminum floater's.
• Cutting and bending sheet metal.
• Grinding using a torch and welding.
• Always inspecting and following up on completed task's.

Job consisted of:

• Tying rebar, Knot tying, Ground rigging.
• Grinding, Torch & Plasma cutting, Certified welder.
• Erecting of all iron.
• Installation of metal decking.
• Installation of precast concrete panels.
• Blueprint reading.
• Basic layout, & use of a transit.
• Leveling & squaring of all iron.
• Completing follow ups & inspections of all job duties.
• Completed a 3 year apprenticeship course in 1.5 years.
