Investigate reports of neglect/abuse on members of the DDD community and gather corroborating evidence in interviews and documentation to either substantiate or unsubstantiate incident reports.
Review incident reports (IR) received from a variety of sources, as well as other records maintained by the Division and providers during provision of services. Interviews involved parties and if other agencies are involved, coordinates investigation efforts with these entities as assigned by the supervisor. Conducts on-site clinical health and safety visits to vendor sites for all health and safety concerns, Immediate Jeopardy or at the direction of the Division / Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) Quality Management Unit (QMU).
