- Renovated a DI 3100 AFM tool, repairing the source of the vacuum noise to get the tool functional, and upgraded the PC to Windows 10 despite significant challenges.
- Organized the process of repairing and updating the ECVPro tool that had been unused, developing a vastly superior profiling technique that improved capability. Led training effort to recruit/train/qualify an operator from each shift to operate the tool. This new process allowed production to run for over a week with confidence without the typical feedback from SIMS.
- Rewriting/updating all procedural documents (Fab Instructions, or SOP) for Epi Characterization tools.
- Decommissioned/disassembled two x-ray tools in advance of the arrival of a newer Bruker QC3 tool, packaging useful parts for future use.
- Certified operators for safe LN2 transfer techniques.
- Responsible for organizing the qualification of new Epi Characterization tools which included directing the install process, writing all recipes, performing necessary calibrations, and coordinating the acquisition of the fit for purpose data set.
