  • Draft a schedule for the seminar breaking each topic into 1-hour sessions over the seven 10-hour days
  • Obtain and review all faculty doctor disclosure forms and PowerPoint presentations identifying conflicts of interest before the live seminar so that they can be resolved according to ACCME and AMA guidelines
  • Arrange and schedule all faculty travel to and from the seminar
  • Travel to the hotel in which the seminar will take place with all necessary staff to facilitate the event
  • Assist the AV/Technical department with setting up the conference room in which the seminar will be held (running cords for power, setting up screens, adjusting sound system, etc.)
  • Contact all faculty doctors to make sure that they have successfully arrived at the seminar hotel and that they are prepared to speak at their designated time
  • Actively resolve any scheduling issues due to weather, presenter cancellation/delay, technical difficulties etc
  • Register each resident doctor and explain all the details they need in order to successfully participate in the seminar
  • Record any issues that arise at course so that they can be presented to the ACCME department after the course is complete
  • Collaborate with other coordinators and the ACCME director to brainstorm solutions for those issues so that they can be used to reach more successful outcomes at future seminars.
