Summary

As a writer, my work asks unanswerable questions, but depend and trust in the collaboration of actors, directors, production designers and audience to achieve my final vision. I want my work to be messy and chaotic and different, but most important is that my collaborators walk away feeling that the process was worth it. Be respectful of actors, and kind to directors.

I would like an audience to feel the bigness of the ideas, conflicts and emotions of my plays. I don’t want to teach some great moral lesson. I want people to take away what is personal to them, truthful to themselves to feel like they’ve played a part in something that respects them, challenges and trusts them. My wish is to create an audience through my work, and to continue meeting people through their art.
