  • The Court has received and studied the pre-sentence report and afforded counsel an opportunity to examine the report.
  • On inquiry made, no legal cause has been shown why sentence should not be pronounced.
  • IT IS THE JUDGMENT OF THE COURT that the defendant is adjudged guilty of: Child Endangerment Resulting in Bodily Injury in violation of Iowa Code Sections: 726.6(1)(b), 726.6(6) and shall be imprisoned for a period not to exceed 5 years, as provided by Iowa Code Sections 902.9 and 902.3.

The Court has further considered the age of the defendant, as well as defendant's prior criminal record, and that probation would lessen the seriousness of the offense.

Pending defendant's transfer to the custody of the Director of the Iowa Department of Corrections at the reception center, the defendant shall remain in the custody of the sheriff.
