  • Analyze audit review findings and prepare/process responses to due diligence and repurchase requests from investors (Government Sponsored Enterprises (GSEs) - e.g. Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae) and external auditors (e.g. NCUA, FNMA, FHLMC, VA, FHLB, PriceWaterhouseCoopers).
  • Evaluate and analyze all applicable loan documentation and audit findings for completeness and accuracy.
  • Review and evaluate underwriting decisions and related documentation for each sampled loan to include credit-worthiness, applicable financial ratios, income and title documents, and credit reports, to ensure compliance with established guidelines; identify potential challenges/risk exposure and recommend corrective action.   • Consolidate and present findings (summary memo and graphical analysis); outline and make recommendations to resolve/satisfy observed workflow/processing deficiencies.
  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) and information resource for colleagues and maintain collaborative relationships with appropriate Lending staff and management to facilitate process improvement.
  • Perform quality control review. Perform audit reviews of sampled mortgage and equity loan life cycle; accounts for all loan related documentation and take corrective action to make files whole; assess processing deficiencies, determine validity of GSE requests through research, and compile supporting data to justify loan approval and/or eligibility for sale.
  • Analyze and explain multiple complex loan programs, financing options, and basic mathematic principles.
  • Evaluate applications and present alternative mortgage products better suited to mortgage applicant.
  • Investigate and assess credit factors and risks, and then facilitate the credit decisions process.
  • Solve problems and complete assigned duties with minimal supervision and assistance.
  • Front-to-Back mortgage processing.
  • Work with members and obtain all necessary information to facilitate the process over the phone and in person throughout the credit application, approval process, and closing.
  • Loan corrections on applications with low appraised values for all team members.
