Accomplishments

Studied and volunteered abroad with Rhode Island College students in Ecuador. For a few short weeks our group was committed to understanding the complex social issues faced by a particular community in Ecuador. Together we worked on several coinciding projects with students and educational leaders which were meant to improve the overall health of the community and enable them to become a more self-sufficient population. (2016) Volunteered, organized, and fund-raised for a humanitarian trip to Rwanda, Africa. Spent three weeks in Rwanda learning about the history and aftermath of the Rwandan Genocide in 1994 while also working on current community projects with community leaders to ensure a better quality of life.
