Executed a range of substitute teaching roles, including long-term and daily assignments, across different school settings. I held positions as a long-term ELA teacher at Liberty Middle School, a long-term ASD teacher at Madonna University, and a long-term building substitute at Allen Early Childhood. I also provided daily substitute coverage in the Plymouth-Canton and Wayne-Westland school districts. In each role, I monitored student progress throughout the day, collaborated closely with other teachers to support student success, and maintained accurate records of attendance and academic performance. I ensured a safe and respectful learning environment by consistently enforcing school rules and regulations, and I organized lesson plans and classroom activities to promote engagement and learning.

Collaborated with my mentor teacher and another sixth-grade math teacher to develop lessons that supported a variety of learning styles, incorporating physical worksheets, interactive Google Slides, game-based learning, and group-work activities. I took on full classroom responsibilities, including lesson planning, classroom management, and grading. Each day, I dedicated time to build a positive classroom culture by using conversation starters to strengthen peer relationships. Integrated technology into lessons when appropriate to enhance engagement. Facilitated group discussions among students on relevant topics. Encouraged positive relationships between students by promoting collaboration within groups.

Supported an eighth-grade mathematics classroom by assisting during independent work time, and guiding students through group discussions. Helped reinforce learning concepts introduced by the lead teacher, and provided individual support to students as they worked through assignments. Instructed and monitored students in the proper use and care of classroom materials.

Supported in an eleventh-grade mathematics classroom, as well as a tenth-grade mathematics support classroom, by assisting during independent work time and guiding students through group discussions. Provided one-on-one support to students requiring additional assistance. Utilized hands-on activities to maintain student engagement while observing and learning effective teaching strategies.

Assisted the lead teacher with setting up and taking down materials and activities, allowing for smooth and efficient transitions throughout the day. Provided one-on-one and small group support to help students better understand and engage. Supervised students during recess and other outdoor activities, ensuring their safety while encouraging physical activity and play. Maintained accurate records of student progress and behavior, contributing to effective communication between the teacher and families.
