Some task for the role of an ORA include,

Assisting in setting up special equipment required for specific procedures such as lasers or endoscopes. As well as fostering positive relationships with physicians, nurses, anesthesiologists and other healthcare providers. Also assisting with stocking operating rooms with necessary supplies prior to surgeries. Maintaining a clean and safe environment in the operating room by disposing of used medical supplies properly according to hospital protocol. I also prioritize requests, responding to stat orders immediately. As well as attending departmental meetings, providing feedback to enhance future performance.

Duties include customer service, register experience and food handling.

• During my role as a Phlebotomist at Mercy Medical Center, I conducted venipuncture procedures for various patient groups, including adults, geriatrics, infants, and neonates through heel sticks. I consistently ensured proper patient identification and the careful collection of specimens. When necessary, I performed stat draws and effectively communicated with nurses and physicians. I maintained a clean and organized workspace to adhere to hygiene and safety standards. My focus on clear communication helped reassure patients during procedures. I consistently adhered to strict protocols for specimen handling, labeling, and storage, in line with hospital policies and regulations.

• Duties at LabCorp are including but not limited to drawing blood, registering patients, and processing specimens. When registering patients maintaining proper identification, insurances, and calling physicians offices to clear up any miscellaneous test. Also using centrifuges and processing and packaging specimen multiple times a day for couriers.
