Summary

I started my career with Supportmed In the Data Entry department entering charges and submitting claims. Worked my way up to Follow-Up, handling denied and underpaid claims for all payers. Monitored aging AR, submitting appeals, corrected claims, watch for trends in insurance denials, patient billing and collections, etc. Once promoted, to supervisor I spent a lot more time auditing work and creating processes with the other departments to increase overall payment collection. In 2019 Supportmed was sold to Coronis Health and I have maintained my position in the company. I enjoy the forever learning that Follow-Up provides. I like the problem solving and helping others. Patient’s don’t know how to navigate the insurance world, it feels good to help them resolve the denials from their insurance.
