As an engineer III, my responsibilities brings planning, coordinating, manufacturing, and processing, as well as developing, evaluating, and improving existing methods for tooling and customer products. Utilizing my product design as well as background in injection molding, it allowed our customers to receive the best products. My prior employment as VP of molding operations, brought with it, extensive knowledge and experience in processing, tooling, and management of staff and facility. My position had a unique blend of technical, business, and people skills with a proven track record of continuous improvement. It focused on project management, quality, reliability, cost savings, and growth. Developing and executing manufacturing capacity and staff to support our business strategy. Working closely with teams to deliver improvement in production, inventory/cost accounting and customer satisfaction. Our customers were in the fields of electronics, military, medical, and government.

Responsible for supporting tool building activities, customer mold sampling trials, developing, evaluating, and improving manufacturing methods on production floor. Ensuring that schedules for tooling product launch goes smoothly. Coordinated customer trials, provided updated progress reports to customer as needed, and maintained relationships with customers. Managed trouble shooting for processing and tooling issues. Performed daily audits for machine processing parameters. Oversaw new mold trials for all new products and worked with quality department to ensure part conformance for all products.

Oversaw all new mold builds, repairs and engineering changes. Ordered all raw materials and tool room equipment. Mold design team member, reviewed all new designs, plastic resins, and compatibility of molds with existing equipment. Engineering representative for "Material Review Board", identifying problems to minimize scrap in production department and saved $530,000.00 first year.

Worked with QC and engineering to develop mechanisms to improve quality, scheduling, standard processes, to reduce costs and improve bottom line. Managed all molding functions to meet product deadlines and deliveries and thus reducing costs.

Accomplishments

    As the tool room supervisor, I was tasked with supporting all tool building and customer relationships for products. New molds, mold repairs and engineering changes came under my position as well as materials and compatibility of equipment. As team member of the Material Review Board, I was able to minimize scrap and save $530,000.00 for the company. As the Engineer III, I developed improving manufacturing method's for the production floor. Worked with QC to trouble shoot and ensure part conformance for all processes and tooling issues.

Middletown Youth Sports Coach

As a dad of 2 young boys, I was involved with coaching and supporting the Middletown Youth Sports group from 2001-2016.  A very rewarding time in a young persons life.
