Install duct drops into building install duct in shafts install shoe taps off shaft duct to FIre smoke damper’s/smoke damper’s do layout for hangers all thread and unistrut depending upon duct size per Smacna Standards, hanger strap or gripple for medium pressure duct to VAV boxes/Fan power boxes after box low pressure duct install cut in Conical bell spins/ sticky back spins with damper’s install spiral pipe 4” to 14” always lock damper’s open for T&B, cover ends of pipe till trim work is performed, layout per floor for wall penetrations Close detail for elevation changes in duct also coordinating with other trades for elevation clashes Always trying to be proactive not reactive making sure all material is staged near work areas staying ahead of schedule if you have all needed material per floor release and correct amount of manpower per 3 week schedule install Mech room equipment boiler flu stainless steel escutcheon work sound caulking if required. knowledge of basic HVAC systems layout and duct design per prints, read and interpret product installation prior to equipment installation. Use communication skills to Delegate work accordingly to Journeymen and Apprentices, as well as manage work hours efficiently, I work well with large groups, i can turn in duct cut sheets and material lists to the shop in a timely manner, i can also complete and turn in daily reports in a timely manner as well. i have the knowledge to oversee and ensure that all safety is being followed at all times.
