SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS:
Hardworking Maintenance Worker with experience performing diverse maintenance and repair duties. Dedicated to maintaining optimal equipment functionality by managing routine and complex equipment and facility matters. Strong knowledge of hand and power tool operation and safety measures. EPA Section 608 UNIVERSAL Certification and Mo AMP Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship Program Graduate.
Performs routine preventive maintenance and monitoring activities on equipment such as air handlers/ refrigeration and air conditioning units/high and low pressure steam systems/heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems; records, meter and gauge readings; cleans coils and oils motors; and replaces belts, filters, switches, gauges, and motors.
Assists skilled carpenters/plumbers/electricians/electronics technicians/other higher-level maintenance staff in performing maintenance, repair and construction activities.
Performs routine maintenance: painting building surfaces and equipment/patch plastering walls/carpentry work on such items as furniture, doors, windows, shelves, and floors; plumbing work such as unstopping toilets and drains; replacing faucets/valves/washers; repairing water line leaks; replacing light bulbs/outlets/switches; limited repairs of electrical motors/generators/communication equipment.
Maintains security in buildings/towers/other posts of an adult correctional facility; intervenes during emergencies or altercations and gains physical control of offenders
Supervises offenders: in housing units; during the performance of work activities; during recreational/ religious activities
Conducts inspections for health and safety hazards; prepares/submits reports on offender violations of divisional or correctional facility rules/unusual offender behaviors/observed mechanical deficiencies/ security breaches or failures
Performs other related work as assigned
Daily activities included Inbound and outbound calling, setting appointments, performing presentations to members of unions that request our benefits, basic computer knowledge, completing the necessary paperwork, quality control, and leadership development.
