Spring 2025

Developmental Biology Laboratory

• Studied an uncharacterized fish species using classical embryology, coupled with molecular biology, to explain its monogamous behaviors. Primary research was conducted utilizing various laboratory techniques, such as PCR and in situ hybridization, to study the fish species. Specific genes in the neural pathway in the fish that were hypothesized to play a role in pair mating were studied and visualized throughout the semester.
• Presentations of research data and results were given at the 2025 Fall Semester STEM Conference and the 2025 Spring Georgia State Undergraduate Research Conference (GSCURC).

• Healthcare United (Member): GSU, Atlanta, GA: Undergraduate student group that provides relevant information, courses, and certifications to those pursing a health science career.
• Undergraduate STEM Research Society (Member): GSU, Atlanta: Undergraduate student group that are interested in pursing research, attending STEM workshops, and interested in the core sciences.
• Biomedical Science Student Alliance (Member): GSU, Atlanta, GA: The official group for biomedical science majors to connect, learn of opportunities, and prepare for a career in biomedical sciences.
• Chemistry Club (Member): GSU, Atlanta, GA: The official chemistry group of GSU for those interested in chemistry. where they attend workshops, lectures, and participate in other club activities.
