
My enclosed resume reflects a strong clinical background with training and expertise within internal medicine, interventional cardiology, advanced heart failure, structural heart treatment and diagnosis. In the most recent 3 years I have been treating patients within skilled nursing facilities acting as a primary provider rounder for complex medical and social presentations and prior consultant role for both cardiology and nephrology disciplines working with multiple skilled facilities in the south sound area. I spent the previous 8 years serving as the structural heart program director and lead developer of the TAVR/Mitralclip, watchman program also the heart failure and heart valve clinic within providence cardiology medical group. I have extensive experience and training with program, policy and protocol development in my previous roles. I was previously a cardiopulmonary nurse specialist training, educating and treating pulmonary hypertension and right sided heart failure to both physicians and patients. I have experience with internal medicine including diagnosing and treating challenging inpatient presentations. While, I have many skills vital to this role, I still have much to learn and know the team will allow me the opportunity to become an expert within a unique area of healthcare, learning from and alongside highly trained professionals and members of a unique team. I have found my education and career path both rewarding and challenging. My background as a registered nurse and advanced practice nurse practitioner includes various focused areas. I have served 2 years within skilled nursing facilities and 8 years as a structural heart program manager/director. I served three years as a registered nurse learning and working within the emergency department in a level 2 trauma facility serving as a trauma educated nurse and charge nurse. I served 6 years as a clinical liaison and case manager and cardiopulmonary nurse specialist treating pulmonary hypertension, right sided heart failure, COPD, alpha 1 antitrypsin deficiency and immune deficiency. These various specialties have taught me valuable skills, critical thinking abilities, and time management critical to an advanced practice registered nurse. I bring strong assessment skills and sound clinical judgement regarding patient presentations. I can accurately diagnose, educate and prescribe treatments based on these patient presentations. These skills were influenced and guided by the preceptors I have been fortunate to study under in my urgent care, family practice, cardiology and heart failure rotations. I am confident I will be teamed with professionals that have an interest in my success, who will work to make me a stronger clinician so I can better serve this critical population. I have a strong drive to seek out knowledge from professional peers, journals and conferences to stay current with best practices, guidelines and the latest techniques.
