• Fiberbond- Installing Fiberbond Pipe & maintenance for offshore platforms. Fiberbond is an alternative to stainless steels, copper-nickel pipe, other alloys and other reinforced and non-reinforced plastics at temperatures up to 121 Celsius and pressure up to 290psig (20.0 bar). Reading ISO’s & P&ID’s to navigate line packages on where to perform work. Racking and rigging pipe to been flown in congested areas, communicating using hand signals or calling distances in via radio with the crane operator. Grinding fiberboard pipe to remove paint before beveling pipe. Understand chemical awareness/hazards while handling two part epoxy hardener with putty to tack & joint two pipes together. Mixing resin following formulas with filament string like material for a hot pass around the weld. Give time for the pipe to cure depending on weather conditions, then start applying 7-9 sequence of fiberglass wrap/mesh over the entire weld. Add activator with resin using measuring cups then roll each sheet on individually until all air pockets are out of the fiberglass wrap. Paint the pipe for your final completion step. Installing ware pads/line stoppers/ground wires with adhesive to prevent pipe damage on supports.
• Flowstrong Yellow Box screw pipe- Yellowbox pipe ranges from 2” to 24” in diameter and can withstand operating pressures from 32 to 210 barg (3,000 PSI). Completed 10 miles in Snyder, Texas for Kendric Morgan ranging from 6” / 10”/ 12” pipe. Completed 4 mile natural gas line for Apache near Denver City, Texas. This project was completed a month and half early before deadline, the client sent out recommendation letters congratulating us on our our work ethic how we performed a safe succesful environment for our peers. Work scope: Conduct safety meetings daily with client and roustabout pipeline companies addressing goals / safety recogintion what to watch for while installing screw pipe. Apply teflon to prevent any debris from getting on the pipe thread before doping up the treads. Operate chain tongs in series with pipeline crew to establish a parallel jointing sequence. Operate power tong equipment after minimum jointing is secured to prevent cross-threading. Communicate with side boom & excavators operators on how to perform work safely while lowering pipe in trench.
• Downstrong Redbox pipe- Redbox tubing and casing is available in sizes ranging from 2” to 24” in diameter and can withstand operating pressures from up to 206 barg (3,000 PSI) and well depths as great as 10,000ft. Redbox pipe is used in downhole operations with work-over drilling rigs. Apply dope on treads for each pipe using chain tongs to begin jointing process, finish with the power tong to confirm seal of each joint.
• Downstrong Bluebox pipe- Bluebox casing and tubing utilize a wind pattern which greatly amplifies the tensile capacity of the pipe allowing it to easy meet the demanding requirements of downhole services. The nexus view inner liner provides enhanced chemical resistance and a higher operating temperature range. Allowing bluebox to be used in wells as deep as 10,000 ft and temperatures as high as 100 Celsius while injecting hydrochloric acid solution. Apply dope on treads for each pipe then use chain tongs to begin jointing process, finish with power tong to confirm seal on each joint,
• Waivstrong Pipe- oil & gas pipes and fittings range from 2” to 36” diameter and can withstand pressures up to 70 barg. Waivstrong is an ideal pipe system for wide range of applications in both underground and above ground installations.
• Exxon turnaround meg unit completing start up for the petro-plastic plant.
• Reviewing JSA & assessing all job hazards that could possibly happen during the job with the crew before even starting.
• Some jobs required using chainfalls & straps to line up the bolts/ valves/blinds/gaskets to reinstalling pipe to finish the job task.
• Torquing with QC’s to establish a line is complete.
• Working on oxygen lines using Tyvek hazmat suits to avoid any debri or lint that can possibly expose the line causing an arc flask. Using denatured alcohol with clean microfiber rags to assure it would pass QC when they black lighted each line we worked on.
• Standard forklift & manlift use was also used on this job to help move equipment or reach areas that weren't reachable without a scaffold.
