As a Lead Site Technician, I am responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and efficiency of all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems within the data center. This includes overseeing planned preventative maintenance, corrective work, and responding quickly to emergent issues to maintain the reliability and uptime of critical infrastructure. I ensure the proper operation of essential data center equipment, such as diesel generators, UPSs, PDUs, chillers, cooling towers, AHUs, and building automation systems, maintaining uptime above

99.999%.

In my role, I complete both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks, applying my expertise in electrical, mechanical, and building systems to address issues efficiently. I operate and monitor facility systems, responding to abnormal conditions to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations. I perform routine inspections of HVAC, electrical distribution, and other building systems to maintain a safe, clean, and functional environment. Additionally, I lead investigations and resolve indoor emergency situations, including air quality complaints, to ensure the safety of the facility.

I became proficient in SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems while working here, which allows me to monitor and control critical systems remotely, ensuring realtime performance tracking and efficient troubleshooting of any system anomalies. This proficiency has enhanced my ability to respond quickly and accurately to issues, improving operational efficiency and minimizing potential downtime.

I manage work orders by creating, tracking, and closing work requests (WR), ensuring all tasks are properly documented and completed on time. I also oversee the performance of service contractors, providing feedback and recommending improvements as necessary. As the leader of a crew of 6-8 people, I delegate tasks and ensure safety and productivity across various operations. I also manage the scheduling of trucks for machinery loading and unloading, coordinating logistics to ensure efficient operations and timely deliveries.

Throughout my role, I serve as the primary point of contact for all facility operations, collaborating closely with the Facilities Manager, Engineering Operations Technicians, and third-party vendors to ensure the smooth and efficient day-to-day management of the data center.

• As an Electrical Apprentice in the residential sector, I worked closely with licensed electricians to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in homes and residential buildings. This hands-on role allowed me to develop a comprehensive understanding of electrical wiring, circuits, outlets, light fixtures, and other essential residential electrical systems while adhering to the National Electrical Code (NEC) and safety standards.I assisted in the installation and troubleshooting of electrical systems, ensuring all work was completed to code and met safety regulations. In addition, I performed inspections of electrical systems, identified potential issues, and participated in repairs to maintain safe and functional systems. I was responsible for keeping the work environment clean and organized, assisting with inventory management, and preparing materials and tools required for electrical tasks.During my apprenticeship, I gained valuable exposure to a range of electrical tasks, including wiring installations, circuit breaker setups, and system troubleshooting, all while learning directly from experienced professionals. • I was responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of Caterpillar diesel engines and heavy machinery.My role included performing routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, brake inspections, and system checks to ensure optimal equipment performance and reliability.I utilized advanced diagnostic tools to identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, repairing or replacing components like engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and electrical systems.By conducting thorough inspections, I was able to proactively identify potential problems, minimizing downtime and maximizing operational efficiency.I followed Caterpillar's recommended service protocols and guidelines to ensure that all repairs met manufacturer standards.
