• Direct and coordinate imaging activities the MRI Department ensuring the standards of imaging quality and excellence in patient care is safely maintained
• Maintain an appropriate record-keeping system for each area of responsibility
• Worked in conjunction with Director of Radiology to facilitate: Operations ManagementDevelop and administer policies and procedures in cooperation with the Director and ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation agencies
• Develop and implement quality improvement plans and activities to meet Joint Commission and accrediting/licensing agency standards
• Financial Management / PurchasingPrepare and recommend annual operating budgets, keeping expenses within budget
• Create enhance programs with the change in technology and service needs
• Recommend capital purchases to assure current standards of quality and safety
• Develop and maintain appropriate inventory control systems
• Coordinate the purchase of supplies and services for areas of responsibility, within the budgetary limits and ensures adequate inventory control systems
• Participate in the negotiations of contracts for service or supplies
• Identify capital needs, evaluate and recommend purchases
• Quality Assurance— Recommend new and enhanced programs as changes in technology and service needs to develop
• Develop and implement quality improvement plans and activities to meet Joint Commission and accrediting/licensing agency standards
• Participate in interdepartmental task forces to improve hospital-wide services as needed
• Employee Management—Interview and guide selection of technologists and other staff, responsible for assuring proper staffing levels
• Establish standards of performance for training and professional development guidelines for staff
• Complete performance appraisals for staff, providing continuous feedback
• Initiate disciplinary processes as necessary
• Maintain employee orientation, training, CEU, and mandatory in-service records according to departmental and hospital policy
• Document all informal coaching

• Drove quality assurance by providing support to radiologists, technologists, and other staff while managing the performance of clinical diagnostic and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures
• Oversaw appropriate implementation of departmental protocols and procedures to comply with accepted standards of care
• Directed technologist’s work assignments and technical protocol related duties required for departmental research
• Ensured staff adherence to appropriate DFCI, OSHA, JCAHO, NRC/DPH, and other applicable regulatory guidelines
• Directed technical protocol-related duties required for departmental research
• Managed the supply inventory, monitors equipment, coordinates service calls and schedules preventive maintenance
• Supervised training of MRI technologists and organized in-service education programs and coordinates staff attendance at outside conferences
• Assisted the Director of Radiology with the implementation of the annual budget
