Planned CA Common Core aligned lessons for whole and small group instruction using numerous curriculums while building toward long and short term student achievement goals. Ensured equity in access to learning amongst students of diverse languages, cultural backgrounds, and individual developmental needs through differentiation by building background knowledge, vocabulary, and scaffolding necessary skills. Collected and analyzed weekly student data to inform ongoing collaboration with grade level teams, site-based teams, and cross curricular teams to promote a full student support system and ensure measurable growth in targeted areas.

Successfully taught a virtual and hybrid classroom of 23 TK students using multiple digital platforms to effectively adapt school-wide curriculums for digital learning during the first year of COVID Distance Learning. Cultivated authentic student relationships and peer to peer connections through whole/small group SEL lessons, peer work review, and explicit teaching on constructive feedback/support. Maintained a high level of support and academic expectations for students when facing challenges of distance learning, thus producing student learning outcomes beyond expected district-wide standards. Maintained one of the highest attendance/participation class rates school-wide for Distance learning.

• Fostered classroom community and highlighted diversity through work publishing parties, Authors’ Chair, and experience with collaborative work apps such as SeeSaw, JamBoard and Nearpod.
• Regularly used assessment data from iReady, Khan Academy Kids and various formative assessments to monitor student learning, guide instructional planning, differentiate lessons, and give timely and meaningful student feedback when needed.
• Introduced, implemented, and trained TK/K teachers across the district on the use of Khan Academy Kids as a tool for individualized learning, progress monitoring, and assessment.
• Established consistent communication with families to outline student objectives, standards, and progress using Seesaw Families, Zoom, Remind, Class Dojo, and other digital platforms for ways to best support students at home.
• Successfully supported families with virtual learning by creating Screencasts, sharing digital resources, and offering 1:1 tech and curricular support when needed therefore increasing student participation and success in distance learning.
