Accomplishments

  • Since 2024, I have led emergency nursing education initiatives focused on real-time learning, critical care, and staff development. My work has emphasized early recognition and management of sepsis and stroke through in-the-moment education, integrated into clinical workflows. I designed high-fidelity simulation drills to prepare staff for critical care scenarios like septic shock and stroke codes, reinforcing teamwork and decision-making. Technology played a key role, including mobile-accessible tools and QR-coded resources for point-of-care learning. I also developed concise quick-reference materials—such as sepsis checklists and medication guides—to support rapid clinical application. Across all efforts, I prioritized staff development through targeted training, mentorship, and competency-based programs.
  • 01/2023, Successfully developed and implemented a High C-CCRS audit and RCA Action tool, and poster board to help provide staff education, generate staff performance improvement, to improve the quality of patient care and maintain JHACO standards.
  • 01/2023, Program Coordinator & Lead Instructor for mandatory Handle with Care Behavioral Management training for all emergency, rapid-decision unit staff, and security. Program to go hospital wide in 2024.
