Travel Contracts for 13 weeks and extensions. Working at various facilities from teaching, to level 1 trauma. Contracts have included trauma ICUs, Neuro Trauma, CVICU, SICU, MICU, ER, and step down PCU, IMCUs in CV, Neuro, and general medical surgical units. Charge Nurse Role when asked by unit manager.

Charge Nurse, Comprehensive Stroke Nurse. Coordinate and facilitate transport of incoming patients via helicopter or ambulance between

facilities for patients requiring emergent

cerebral-vascular intervention and stroke care. Responding to stroke alerts in ER, providing rapid NIH scale and VAN assessments, CT, CTA, and MRI

brain imaging, administration of TPA, communicating assessments to the

endovascular surgeon, and transporting patient to endovascular surgical suite.

Acute Response-Code Blue Team Respond to all hospital calls for inpatient

acute crisis management, using ACLS and core measure treatment protocols, utilize algorithms, and facilitate transfer, of patient to higher level care.

Charge Nurse

Mentor, support, and resource for own unit staff. Make staff assignments for a

16 bed unit. Coordinate and effectively and efficiently communicate with

nursing supervisors and bed management changes in census, and acuity.

Manage problematic situations with family or staff and report to the Nursing

supervisor and chain of command.

Neuro ICU/MED ICU Staff R.N.

Post-Op recovery and care of neuro endovascular procedures. Large vessel

occlusion thrombectomy, and aneurysm coiling. Post-Op recovery of

Craniectomy Craniotomy, Burr Hole, Traumatic Brain Injury, Brain Tumor

Debulking, and various spinal surgeries. Seizure intervention and Video EEG

monitoring. Proficient ICU skills include and not limited to, maintenance of

EVD drain system, ICP monitoring, Lumbar drain system, EKOS, Prisma-flex

CRRT, Ventilators, Arterial and Central Lines maintenance and monitoring,

EKG 12 lead proficiency, titration of ACLS vasoactive drugs, sedation, and

paralytics. Management and hemodynamic monitoring, of Therapeutic

Hypothermia post cardiac arrest, Sepsis, Multi-system organ failure, and end

of life care of the organ donation patient.

Critical care float resource R.N.

Float to MICU, SICU, CVIMCU, Neuro IMCU, telemetry, medical surgical, and ER. Patient ratios 1:1 to 1:7 patients. Utilitizing critical care and phleobotomy skills sets.

• Care of the cardiovascular telemetry patient, post procedure monitoring of cardiac angioplasty and stenting, angiogram, angiocath, sheath pull, and recovery. Post op step down Day 2 stable post-op open heart surgical patients, with chest tubes no longer needing ICU care. Post op step down care of various cardio-thoracic procedures requiring external temporary pacing. Care of the chronic disease process patients with CHF, COPD, MI, pacemaker, and monitoring of patients post cardiovascular events.

Operated in my scope of practice as a licensed practicing nurse in a long term care facility, providing and documenting assessments, medication administration, wound care, and assisting residents with ADLs and emotional and physical support. Communicating and collaborating specialized care plans with the acting physician and advanced care providers.

Provided cognitive and physical activities for residents in the Alzheimer’s and dementia care unit. Including assisting with ADLs, feeding, clothing, and toileting. Exercise groups and art and music therapy.

Assisted residents with ADLs, dressing, feeding, and toileting. Oral care and overall hygienic needs met. Acquired vital signs and communicated results to nursing staff. Managed Foley catheters, oxygen, and assisted nurses with dressing changes and care. Trained and assisted with phlebotomy skills.
