I have spent half my life working with children and the other half in an office setting. While working with children I was able to stay organized and manage sometimes hectic schedules. I used a kind and compassionate approach when having to deal with any discipline issues while also tried redirection. While working in a business setting I was able to maintain and organized efficient department/office. Kept records updated and files stored properly. I always maintain a professional appearance and complete tasks on time and correctly. I am dependable and a quick learner with effective communication skills.
Worked with parents to to help ease the workload of raising two small children. My main responsibility each day was to ensure the safety of the children, both in and outside of the home. Daily I was responsible for preparing meals and keeping the newborn on a feeding schedule. I also did light housekeeping and laundry while keeping the home organized. Story reading, outside playtime, trips to the library, art, playing games, along with being creative throughout the day are key to helping in child development.
The childcare program was for Mother's Morning out.
I started in 2005 and continued working in the 1's classroom until December of 2010. I left for a few years to work for the Bruey Residence. When the Bruey children were both in Elementary school full time I came back to the preschool in 2016 and worked in the 2's until the pandemic in 2020. I worked at the preschool in the morning and the Bruey residence in the afternoon. While in the classroom I assisted and supervised children through the day. I developed weekly lesson plans and activities to engage our classroom and promote a safe learning environment while at the same time being flexible with changes that may come up. I sent out weekly newsletters while also communicating with parents in daily conversation. I was able to maintain a well controlled classroom by having structure and reinforcing positive behaviors. Multi tasking is a must. I was able to give one on one attention to children while still maintaining overall focus on my entire classroom. When needed behavioral and learning issues would be addressed with parents and management. Most importantly a safe and nurturing learning environment was provided each day.
I helped manage a household of four by keeping the home organized. I did this by following or sometimes creating the children's schedule as well as being aware of the parents schedule and travel to avoid any conflicts. I would transport the children to all their extra curricular activities as well as any other activities. Being excellent at time and task management helped to ensure having a home that is stress free.
