Rutgers Experience

Rutgers Experience

  • Research - Biodiversity study utilizing insect specimens and geologic techniques to determine changes in ecology, environment, and climate. Water quality analysis, geologic coring, and lacustrine sediment analysis with a Malvern Mastersizer 3000. Field work experience collecting sediment cores and insects specimens.
  • Geochemistry - Water sampling experience through a semester-long project on the Brandywine River. Experience in collecting and analyzing ORP, pH, salinity, alkalinity, conductivity, silica, sulfates, nitrites, and elemental analysis via mass spectrometer of both water and sediments. Used Thermoscientific Orion series and Hana mini- colourimetric kits.
