Summary

With over 26 years of experience, I have shared my passion for science with high school students. Throughout my career in various schools, I have successfully adapted teaching strategies to cater to diverse backgrounds and interests of students. My main focus has always been on developing engaging lessons that hold students accountable for their learning and support their growth. As a department chair and in other leadership roles, I have guided colleagues and department members through school, county, and state initiatives. By sharing knowledge and enthusiasm for the profession, I have played a significant role in mentoring colleagues. Additionally, my career has been enriched by administrative responsibilities such as school-wide testing, curriculum development, implementing a school-wide advisory program, and initiating and supporting 9th-grade transition programs. These experiences have greatly contributed to my skill set as a teacher-leader.
