My name is Michelle Dong and I'm a current student at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. I'm currently pursuing a BS in the molecular biosciences and biotechnology program with a interest in the dental pathway. I worked as an assistant tutor in math and reading for children ages 4-12 to further advancing their skills in core subjects. In my later years of high school, I started to lean towards the healthcare field, which prompted me to start volunteering for Kaiser Permanente, which I currently garnered 80+ hours of volunteer work, and most recently the Summer of 2024, it provided me the opportunity to do a 6-week paid summer internship at the Kaiser Permanente Moanalua Medical Center in which I worked in the OR as a housekeeping aide and shadowed multiple cases in a diversity of fields which included dentistry. In addition, along with my 80+ hours of volunteering in the hospital, as of recent , I have accumulated over 150+ hours of volunteer service in my high school career and will continue to do so in college and beyond. I am dedicated to learn and perform task and to further my skills and experience in the healthcare field.
