Affiliations

  • I have been a volunteer at our church for many years and work on various projects with a wonderful team of friends. I am one of the project leaders for charity called Operation Christmas Child, run by Samaritan's Purse. We have become a local drop off center for our area, and each year we attempt to send more boxes. Last year we teamed up with three other churches and successfully attempted to send a little over 1,000 boxes in a combined effort. I am one of the year round shoppers who also organizes and maintains the spreadsheet which tracks our purchases and item needs for all the different age groups. All the leaders for each church have access to the sheets and at a glance can see what we still need to purchase, and what we already have. I also organize the items as we purchase them all year long, and prepare for our yearly packing party. This year we are blessed to be working with four different churches, of all different denominations, and the goal will always be to work seamlessly together, with patience and love, as a team to accomplish more each year.
