• Project: Vitamin D and Immunomodulation in coronary artery disease

• Volunteer researcher at Dr. Agrawal’s lab

• Researched Vitamin D and its immunomodulatory effects on several important inflammasomes (NLRP3/NALP3, NRF2, and AIM2) expressed in swine coronary artery tissue samples.

• Hypothesize that vitamin D supplementation down-regulates vascular inflammation that could prevent re-stenosis after an angioplasty intervention following coronary artery disease

• Transfected human lung epithelial cells with swine flu nonstructural protein (NS1) and using the q-PCR machine in order to investigate the effects of the NS1 protein on lipid metabolism gene expression
