This is michelle flores an I am interested in working in the healthcare setting I have been a ACMA meaning passing medications and taking care of elderly people where I worked at. I started as a CNA doing ADL'S for residents giving showers and getting the residents dress for the day and including this by make sure their need's were been met. Along the way I learned communication skills which is very important in the healthcare business. I even started school to be a Adminstration or work in the business office to manage my facility someday. Working in assisting living does not require paper work it is also hands on and we do have to remember this taking care of elderly people is not only get them up and dress and shower or giving them a drink of water you get to know them and love them like if they were your own as well there family that come by and see them they want to make sure that when they leave there love ones after they visit they need too see they are being take care and being safe this is there home and they need to fill that we love them and well taking care of . I became a leader with this facility because I brought energy to their home I show my coworkers that is just not a job to get a pay check you become family with the residents because I showed the resident and staff and my employers that I could handle any situation with staff and or residents and family members if they had a compliant. I step out there to get things done if they were not done for the day. So I decide to further my education in Healthcare administration still working on should finished by the begin of the year. So as the years past I was proud of myself that I could do all the task and show my coworkers that it can be done this facility became my home and the residents were my family and each day I made sure that me and staff were taking care of not to say we did not have up and downs who does not this is how we learn things and get through it so the experience I had at my facility was knowing that I can manage my own once i graduate and continue my education so I can work at a clinic, Dr's office. Pharmacy's or any where in the healthcare organization I can look back and see how I took care of my resident and facility as I continue my journey where I get a job I will not have a problem doing the work. Having a positive attitude and smiling and the residents or people that would come visit gave them the sense that they also knew there love ones were taking care and would go back home that they may one to live here because they would see they would also be taking care of.
