MICHELLE LUCAS

Vacaville,CA

Summary

An energetic, detail oriented nursing professional offering over 31 years nursing experience.

Outpatient experience including: Adult Primary Care, Surgery Clinic, Urgent Care/Triage, Pediatrics, Women's Health, Allergy, Ophthalmology, Injection Clinic, and Oncology.

I started my nursing career in 1991 with the USAF. I was stationed at Travis AFB and worked at David Grant Hospital as a Medical Technician for 4 years. I left the USAF in 1995 with the birth of my son and began working for Kaiser Permanente as an LVN for the next 11 years. My assigned department was Primary Care, but I also floated between most clinical and specialty outpatient departments. I went back to school and completed my ASN Degree using my GI Bill and began my RN career in 2006 with acute-care nursing at Kaiser Foundation Rehab Center in Vallejo. Four years later, upon completion of our new Kaiser Vacaville Kaiser Permanente Hospital building, I transferred to their Medical Telemetry Inpatient Unit (Tele Step Down Unit.). In 2015, I landed my current position back in the clinic taking care of our employees in Employee Health Services. I have had a very diverse career to date, with the ability to perform as a team player and/or independently with my nursing knowledge and skills.
