- I took care of my friend after she was hospitalized due to illness... 24/7 except for time off which usually was 30 hours tops. I cooked and cleaned up and did laundry, dishes, and provided support. She developed dementia while I was caring for her and I was able to be there for her care until I was unable to stay due to her erratic behavior and my own health issues. She was transferred to a fulltime facility until she passed that October of 2020.
