Organized and dependable candidate successful at managing multiple priorities with a positive attitude. Willingness to take on added responsibilities to meet team goals.
I began state service as a Disability Evaluation Analyst I in September 200. In this role, I had to gather evidence and analyze findings based on SSA law to determine if the claimant qualified for disability benefits. I promoted to Disability Evaluation Analyst III in 2003. This allowed me to perform Continuing Disability Reviews and complete decisional documents for the medical consultants to review. I transferred into my current position of Program Support Analyst in December 2007. This role requires me to review Social Security Disability claims to ensure policy compliance. If the case requires additional actions, I write up the actions recommended to be performed, cite POMS and return the case back to the analyst. In February 2009, I attended McGeorge Law School for Hearing Officer training. I am able to perform Disability Hearings as a part of the reconsideration process once a claimant has been ceased benefits and requests an appeal. I conduct face to face hearings or telephone hearings obtaining testimony and analyzing evidence to determine eligibility for continued benefits or a cessation of benefits.
