Ensure that all medical supplies and instruments are available for procedures by communicating and coordinating with medical device representatives. Responsible for direct supervision of operating room nurses, surgical technicians, radiologic technologists and central sterile processing technicians. Made daily staff assignments and monthly staff schedule. Circulate surgical procedures as needed. Responsible for overall efficiency of operating rooms.

Maintain accurate patient records and confidentiality. Assess patient's condition before, during and after procedure to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Obtain vital signs and administer injections. Download blood glucose meters and insulin pumps. Perform bladder catheterizations and instillations. Prepare room, sterile instruments and equipment for procedures. Educate patient on medical procedures and testing. Answer patient calls and determine how to best assist them. Order laboratory and additional testing as requested by physician. Complete all documentation for referrals, medication refills and prior authorizations.
