Assistant Medical Center Director for the Corporal Michael J Crescenz VA Medical Center (CMCVAMC) located in Philadelphia, PA.
As the second largest VA medical center in PA, CMCVAMC is staffed with more than 3300 employees and supports 145 acute beds, a 135-bed Community Living Center, a 12-chair freestanding Dialysis Center, and a 40-bed Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program (RRTP).
CMCVAMC also serves as a Mental Illness Research Education and Clinical Center (MIRECC), a Parkinson’s Disease Research, Education and Clinical Center (PADRECC), and a Center for Health Equity, Research and Promotion (CHERP).
CMCVAMC is the designated Eastern Market tertiary referral center supporting four facilities (Coatesville, Lebanon, and Wilkes-Barre, PA, and Wilmington, DE).
As Assistant Medical Center Director, I serve as a full member of the executive leadership team performing a variety of duties associated with management and operation of a large complex healthcare system such as $1.3B budget oversight, construction project oversight, contract management, space utilization, full range of personnel actions, equipment maintenance and procurement, and facilities management.
