  • Set up and adjusted equipment and properly configured machines for daily operation.
  • Complied with company and OSHA safety rules and regulations.
  • Trained new employees on proper machine operation, ensuring adherence to company standards and safety guidelines.
  • Loaded large rolls of electrical conductor and trung it thought a machine that would form metals like stainless steel, galvanized steel, and monel to be wrapped around the conductors to protect them from the environment of the hole for pumping oil out of the ground.
  • Conducted monthly PM on the machines and the CAT belt.
  • On a daily basis I was conducting butt welds of the metal stripping to wind pads onto the machine. When we would have a break in the metal strip I would then have to clean the break site, line up the two sides of the metal strip gas weld it together and then file it down to ensure no sharp edges could cut through the insulation down to the conductor.
  • When belts, brake pads, forming heads, and hydraulic hoses needed to be replaced I would need to replace those.
  • Conducted quality testing at the beginning and end of the run by using a caliper and micrometer to measure the different layers of insulation down to the copper conductor. Also maintained hourly checks of overall width and thickness and to ensure the metal armor was not squeezing the cables crushing them inside.
