Currently a full-time undergraduate senior-year student majoring in biology at the University of San Diego and on-track to graduate in May. Accumulative GPA is 3.56.
Participated in research program focused on shark and ray research in Tampa Bay Area (Florida). Work performed in the program included catching, tagging, measuring, identifying sex, and taking genetic samples of various species of shark and ray (elasmobranchs).
Worked at a local animal shelter. Mainly washing the animals’ dishes and looking after them in their cages.
Participated in a Latin American immersion program called AMIGOS. This program involves traveling to a Latin American country and staying with a host family for several weeks while interacting with the community and organizing extracurricular youth programs. For the summer program, I stayed in a rural community with a host family and participated in youth activities and cleanup work.
