Key Accomplishments & Responsibilities:
Deployed to Raqqa, Syria (2017): Part of a small Marine artillery battalion that fired over 35,000 artillery rounds in five months, supporting U.S.-backed Syrian Defense Forces (SDF) during counter-ISIS operations. This effort was the most intense artillery barrage since the Vietnam War, surpassing the total rounds fired in Operation Desert Storm.
Artillery Support: Provided 24-hour, all-weather fire support with M777 howitzers (155mm), playing a crucial role in the destruction of ISIS positions and effectively pressuring ISIS forces. The artillery efforts were so intense that two howitzer barrels were burned out, an extraordinary occurrence for artillery units.
Collaborative Fire Missions: Worked alongside U.S. and partner forces to deliver precise fire support, contributing directly to the elimination of ISIS combatants and the stabilization of the region.
Deployed to Korea: Provided long-range ballistic rocket support to assist South Korean ROK Marines during heightened tensions with North Korea. This deployment was part of a larger effort that helped bring both North and South Korea to an armistice agreement.
Additional Contributions:
Proudly served honorably in the United States Marine Corps, where I earned the Good Conduct Medal and received two Certificates of Accommodation and others during my deployment to Raqqa, Syria. These honors were a testament to my dedication and commitment to the mission. These experiences have instilled in me a strong sense of responsibility, teamwork, and resilience, which I carry into every aspect of my work.
