Educational Outreach

As a guest lecturer I have traveled aboard and domestically to work with journalism students during my career. Selected by the US State Department in 2007 and 2008, I traveled with a team of journalists to Brazil to create and conduct seminars and training at top universities in São Paulo, Rio and Brasilia. I have also lectured at California Lutheran University. Throughout my career I have mentored dozens of young journalists who are now working professionals in major media markets across the country. While at NBC News nearly all new correspondents were assigned to shadow my team as an example of how to excell at the network and make inroads with the major broadcasts.
