  • Electromechanical development and implementation of industrial bag-closing equipment, production machinery, test equipment, and SOPs for self-certification.
  • Worked with the leadership team to develop a new product line. I designed and built critical machine components to automate the manufacturing process. This project also inspired the automation of the original bread closure manufacturing process, with which I assisted in the design and development.
  • Used CAD software to design mechanical fixtures and electrical harnesses for machinery. Collaborated with a technical writer to create documentation pertaining to the service and maintenance of active machines.
  • Maintained certifications for all retail machines. (UL, cULS, CE, UKCA). Developed SOPs for testing, and trained technicians to perform these tests. Used Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) test equipment to ensure our machines fell within safe limits established by IEC 61000-6-4. If any tests failed, I would analyze the test data to identify the root cause of the failure, implement modifications to address the issue, and retest to ensure compliance with the standards.
  • Obtained Laser Safety Officer Certification and implemented a Laser Safety Program per ANSI Z136 and IEC 60825. Provided oversight to ensure the safe use of Class 1 and Class 4 lasers while gaining a thorough operational understanding of each laser system.
  • Used Studio 5000, Connected Components Workbench, and FactoryTalk View to develop PLC and HMI programs for production and retail machines. Also used Logo Soft, Arduino IDE, and EBPro for various automation projects.
  • Assisted in selecting components for electrical systems based on project requirements.
